15 years of professional basketball in many top European leagues such as Spanish ACB, Turkish Super League, European Euroleague, and 141 games for the German national team. Participant of the 2008 Olympics, 2x World Championships, and 4x European Championships. While playing, Jan completed his Business Marketing degree at Pennsylvania State University. He graduated in 2015, the same year that he also retired from professional basketball.
After playing basketball, Jan saw many brands struggle to become relevant with the different sports cultures that they were sponsoring and communicating in. So he decided to become an expert in brand activation and communication while also focusing on brand building in the context of sports and its brands. Working with one of the leading agencies in Germany, Jan got to advise some of the biggest brands in sports to create value through their sponsorship assets. Their strategies and implementations have won many awards in the past years. After his experience in advising large corporations, he joined the startup Vibadou as a shareholder and CMO. Building a group content platform is now his latest endeavor. Vibadou wants to bring new and interactive content to the fans.
Jan loves sports and wants to help usher in a new era. He believes that technology can be a great equalizer and anyone who understands to harness technology in the right way will be able to beat out the competition when it comes to generating new fans, engaging with the young generation, and becoming more relevant.
