Dirk has been working in the international sports industry for 20 years. Before becoming the Head of Commercial Division at iconic FC St. Pauli in Hamburg, he was in various leading management roles within global sports-marketing agency Lagardère Sports. During that time, he has lived and worked in Prague, Madrid, Berlin, and spent 11 years in Tel Aviv, the heart of the "Startup Nation" Israel.
During his career, he has worked with many of the European top football clubs like Real Madrid CF or Bayern Munich and has been active in the field of professional sponsorships and media rights as well as brand consulting. From 2013 till 2019, he was the founder and owner of DAVNIS Sports, Israel's leading sports marketing agency, and started to work with several sports-tech startups like “vBrand” which later on got acquired by Nielsen and “Track160” where he intermediated with DFL (German Bundesliga) to have Track160 to become the first startup in the “DFL for Equity” program.
